Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Women's Soccer Coach Simon Riddiough
today announced the signing of Jill Mulholland and Jeannine Molleda to National
Letters of Intent. The pair will join the Pride for the 2012-13 academic year.
Mulholland, a native of Levittown, NY, has played midfield
for MacArthur High School for the past four seasons. This past season she
earned All-America honors after helping the Generals to New York State, Long Island
and Nassau County championships. The All-America accolade was just one of many
postseason honors for Mulholland as she was also a first team all-state
selection, an All-Long Island selection, an All-Nassau County pick, the Nassau
County and Conference AA Player of the Year, the Nassau County Finals Most
Valuable Player and the recipient of the 2011 Mike Clarke Award as the county
Most Valuable Player.
She has also been a consistent member of the Region I
Olympic Development Program (ODP) and as a member of the Albertson Fury club
team, Mulholland was part of three state championship teams (2007, 2009, 2011)
and one Region I championship squad (2007).
Molleda, a center midfielder, will come to Hofstra after a
four-year career at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA. The Clifton, VA,
native helped her team to a district championship as well as the regional
finals in 2010. Molleda also ran two years of cross country at Robinson.
Molleda is also a member of FC Virginia, which plays in the
Elite Clubs National League.
Hofstra is coming off a 10-8 campaign in 2011 that included
a fifth consecutive appearance in the CAA Championship.
