Hempstead, NY - Hofstra Women's Tennis Coach Alison Adamski will compete for a spot in the US Open next month at the New Haven Open as part of the US Open National Playoffs. The New Haven Open is scheduled from August 17-25 at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale.

Adamski and her mixed doubles partner, Keith Kessler, won the Eastern Section Mixed Doubles regional held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows last month to advance to the finals, which are held in conjunction with the New Haven Open. The New Haven Open, a WTA event featuring the top players in the world. 

The US Open National Playoffs Championships is the culmination of 13 men's and women's singles and mixed doubles sectional events across the United States. Singles winners earn a spot in the US Open qualifying while mixed doubles winners earn a spot in the US Open main draw. The men's and women's singles US Open National Playoffs Championships is set to take place Friday, August 17-Sunday, August 19 and the mixed doubles US Open Playoffs Championships will take place Wednesday, August 22-Saturday, August 25.

Adamski will be entering her third season as head coach of the Pride this fall.
