MTEN: Pride Drop 6-1 Decision At Delaware

Newark, DE - Adrien Bailly posted Hofstra's lone singles win and also teamed with Ari Richman to win at doubles in a 6-1 loss to Delaware Sunday afternoon.

The loss dropped Hofstra's record to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in the Colonial Athletic Association. Delaware improves to 5-9 overall and 1-3 in the CAA.

Bailly defeated Nolan Gelman, 6-4 and 6-1, at third singles to give Hofstra its only point. Bailly and Richman did win, 8-6, over Troy Beneck and Adam Lawton at first doubles, but the Blue Hens won the other two doubles matches to claim the doubles points.

Matthew Gemmell did take Lawton to a third set in his singles match at the second flight, dropping a 7-6, 5-7, 6-0 decision.

The Pride return to action Saturday when they host Fordham at the Hofstra Outdoor Tennis Center.
