Men's Basketball Holds Off NJIT, Heads To Tulane Thursday
The Pride men's basketball team closed out 2013 on a high note with a 75-64 win over NJIT at the Mack Sports Complex. Dion Nesmith led four Pride players in double-figures with 20 points. Hofstra begins 2014 with a trip to New Orleans for a Thursday contest at Tulane. Robinson Earns Third CAA Rookie Of The Week Award
Freshman forward Jamall Robinson was named the CAA Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the third time this season on Monday. Robinson averaged 12 points per game in two contests including a season-high 16 at Siena.

Wrestling Heads To Southern Scuffle
After a 24-day hiatus from competition, the Pride wrestling team returns to action this Wednesday, January 1, when they travel to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to compete in the 34-team Southern Scuffle at McKenzie Arena. Track Wrestling will provide live statistics, while Flo Wrestling will have live video (subscription needed).

Women's Basketball Hosts Albany on New Year's Day
Coming off a buzzer-beater loss at Central Connecticut, the Pride women's basketball team returns home for a New Year's Day matinee against Albany with a 2 p.m. tip-off. Ticket information is available here or by calling (516) HOF-TIXX. Click the links for live statistics and audio/video.

Weidman Successfully Defends UFC Title
Former Hofstra Wrestler Chris Weidman defended his UFC Middleweight title with a second round TKO of Anderson Silva Saturday night. Weidman is now 11-0 in his UFC career.
