Champions! Hofstra Wins Second Consecutive CAA Title

Brookline, MA - Krista Agostinello scored with 90 seconds remaining in the second overtime period to give eighth-seeded Hofstra a 2-1 victory over third-seeded Northeastern to win the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association Saturday afternoon at Parsons Field. The championship is Hofstra's eight overall, second consecutive, and fifth in the last six years.

The Pride (10-7-4) will find out their NCAA Tournament destination Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. during the NCAA Selection Show that will air on NCAA.com. Northeastern sees its season end with a record of 10-6-4.

Northeastern answered with a set piece goal in the 80h minute as Alexis Legowski headed a shot past Kuzmich off a free kick from the right side by Jane Kaull. Neither team would score in regulation or the first 18:30 of overtime until Agostinello's game-winner. An initial shot from Thorhildur Thorhallsdottir caromed off the crossbar to Agostinello, who headed it home for her fourth goal of the season.
