Providence, RI - The Hofstra Men's Tennis team competed at the Northeast Invitational at Brown University over the weekend, and the squad was by senior Matt Wacks, who compiled a 2-1 record at the tournament.
Wacks went 2-1 at third singles, winning the ninth place match with a 6-2, -2 win over Mike Taylor of Villanova.
Hofstra's best showing in doubles came at first doubles as the duo of junior Stian Tvedt and Wacks compiled a 3-1 record during the tournament and defeated the Connecticut team of Goldstein and Warden, 8-6, to win the ninth place match.
Also winning multiple matches for the Pride over the weekend was freshman Jon Disley (2-2), junior Ben Thompson-Star (2-2) and junior Alex Hosner (2-2).
In doubles play, the team of freshman Josh Levinson and Disley went 2-2.
Hofstra returns to action tomorrow when they host Fairleigh Dickinson University at 3 p.m. That match will take place at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York.
