PRIDE PLACE NINTH AT ECAC MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

Egg Harbor, NJ - Connell McNamara shot a 161 (81-80) to tie for 19th as the Pride finished ninth at the ECAC Men's Golf Championship Saturday afternoon at the Blue Heron Pines Golf Club. The Pride carded rounds of 355-353 for a two round total of 708 to finish 18 strokes back of eighth place Wagner.

Hofstra's Andrew Roberts came in 37th place (84-86-170), while Chris Davis placed 41st at 180 (94-86). Justin Nash rounded out the Hofstra foursome in 43rd place with a 197 (96-101).

Fordham won the team championship after placing three golfers in the top 10. The Rams posted a team score of 623 (311-312) to take a two-shot victory over Fairleigh Dickinson. Colgate, which boasted individual medalist David Ake, finished tied for third at 630 (320-310). Ake shot rounds of 74 and 76 to post a winning score of 150. Monmouth's Greg Etimos finished second with a 151 (79-72).

The Pride have the next two weekends off before concluding their fall season at the FDU Knights Invitational on October 26-27.
