Piscataway, NJ - Alexandra Hanlon shot 81 and Jenna Masynk recorded an 82, and the Pride sit in 12th place after the first round of the Rutgers Invitational at the Rutgers Golf Course Friday afternoon. The Pride scored a team total of 333 and trail first place St. John's by 25 strokes in the 18-team field.
Hanlon is tied for 27th after her first round, while Masynk is tied for 32nd place. Amy Hoffmann, who carded an 84, is tied fr 49th place, Erica Barnes is tied for 60th at 86 and Morgan Heyrman's 87 puts her in a tie for 64th place.
Fairleigh Dickinson's Michele Holzwarth shot a 1-over 73 to claim the top spot on the first round leaderboard, holding a one shot advantage over Lois Kim of St. John's and Rosie Davies of Lehigh.
The Rutgers Invitational concludes Saturday afternoon.
