In the final regular season game of her storied career, senior midfielder Corrine Gandolfi shined as she led Hofstra to a 19-7 victory over longtime rival Drexel on Thursday afternoon.  Gandolfi would tally four goals and two assists in the game, including assisting on Hofstra's first goal of the game and recording the eventual game-winner as the Pride cruised to the win.  Gandolfi, as usual, was strong throughout the contest as she also added a team-high three draw controls and a pair of ground balls.  With her six points, Gandolfi went over the 200-point plateau for her career midway through the opening stanza.  She became just fourth player in program history to reach 200 career points and the first since Kim Hillier (215 from 2003-07).  Gandolfi now has 203 points heading into the conference tournament.  For the season, Gandolfi has 46 goals, 19 assists, 65 points, 38 ground balls, 58 draw controls and 26 caused turnovers.  All six totals are team-highs.

Softball - Sophomore pitcher, Erin Wade (Taunton, MA/Taunton)
Wade came up big in the pitching circle to help first-place Hofstra to a two games to one series win over second-place Georgia State. After Hofstra dropped the first game of the series on Saturday (1-0 in 10 innings), Wade took the ball in the Saturday nightcap and responded by throwing a complete-game four-hitter and matching her season high with seven strikeouts as the Pride won 5-1 to even the series at one game apiece. Her effort improved her winning streak in the circle to eight straight victories, dating back to March 30, and improved her overall record to 14-4 and her CAA record to 6-0. She then came on in relief to pick up the save in the final game of the series on Sunday in a 2-0 Pride win, which clinched the regular season title and the right to host the conference tournament May 12-14.
