Below is a quick recap on each of the nominees' relevant statistics from the past week. Voting is now open and will close at noon on Wednesday. Each week's statistics include contests from the previous Monday-Sunday

Women's Lacrosse - Corrine Gandolfi
Senior midfielder Corrine Gandolfi (East Northport, NY/Northport) had a strong week for the Pride as she helped Hofstra advance to the championship game of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament.  Gandolfi starred in Hofstra's 9-8 win over #8 Towson on Thursday in the CAA semifinals as she had a goal and three assists for a game-high tying four points, while also adding three caused turnovers, two draw controls and one ground ball.  In the final game of her remarkable career, a 10-6 loss at #7 James Madison in the CAA title game, Gandolfi chipped in with a team-high two goals, while also adding two ground balls, one draw control and one caused turnover.  For the week she had three goals, three assists, six points, four caused turnovers, three ground balls and three draw controls.  She led Hofstra to its first appearance in the CAA title game since 2007.

Baseball - Ethan Paquette
Senior Ethan Paquette (West Burke, VT/St. Johnsbury Academy) went 8-for-17 (.470) with 10 RBIs and five runs scored in a four-game week for the Pride. Paquette registered multi-hit games in all four contests. The outfielder/first baseman started his week with a 2-for-4 effort with two RBIs and a run scored to lead Hofstra to a win over  Long Island University. Paquette followed that with a 2-for-4 output with four RBIs and two runs scored in the  Pride's Friday victory over Delaware in its series opener. Paquette also slammed his team-leading 12th home run during another four-RBI afternoon on Saturday before going 2-for-4 in the series finale against the Blue Hens.

Softball - Kris Root
Senior center fielder Kris Root (Waynesboro, PA/Greencastle-Antrim)closed out her final regular season by batting a whopping .857 in four games (12-14), with an .875 on-base percentage from her leadoff spot in the batting order. She started out the week by going 2-for-2 (with a walk and a sacrifice) in a win over Iona, then batted 10-12 in the three-game Drexel series with at least three hits in every game. She had hits in her first six at-bats against Drexel in Friday's doubleheader, improving to 8-8 on the week before finally being retired for the first time. She capped off the week by going 4-5 (with a walk) in a 4-3, 10-inning win over Drexel on Saturday. Her single in the seventh started a three-run rally to tie the game and force extra innings, while her two-out single in the tenth set up the game-winning run.  She improved her hitting streak to a career-best 15 games, and raised her batting average to a team-high .371 this season, including .491 in CAA games. She was also 4-4 stealing bases this week, improving to 14-14 on the year and giving her 52 in her career, three shy of the school record.
