Hempstead, NY - Hofstra second baseman Matt Prokopowicz received his third postseason accolade of 2010 when he was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-East Region Second Team. The award follows his selection to the All-ECAC team and to the All-Colonial Athletic Association squad.

Prokopowicz, who set the Hofstra career mark for hits (271), batted a personal-best .431 in 2010 and added 18 doubles, six home runs and 41 RBIs. He also scored a team-high 47 runs.

The All-East Region honor was the first of Prokopowicz' career.
