Pulaski, VA - Ethan Paquette began his professional baseball career this week with the Pulaski Mariners, the rookie affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, located in Pulaski, Virginia. Paquette was a 35th round selection of Seattle in the MLB Draft on June 9.

Paquette has started both games versus the Bluefield Orioloes at first base and batted cleanup. In a season-opening 8-4 victory, Paquette was 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and an RBI. In his second game as a professional, a 14-0 loss, he batted 2-for-4. Overall he is hitting .333 on the season.

The Mariners complete their three-game series with the Orioles tonight at 7 p.m.
