Hempstead, NY – Hofstra Athletics will host its 22nd annual Hofstra Pride Golf Classic and Auction on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Pine Hollow Country Club in East Norwich, New York. This year we are honoring Senior Associate Director of Athletics Cindy Lewis for her 30 years of dedicated service to Hofstra University's athletic program. Cindy works closely with all of Hofstra's 17 sports and has been a major catalyst in the growth and advancement of our women's programs. A 1979 graduate of Hofstra, Cindy was a member of the field hockey and lacrosse teams. She returned the following year as the head coach of both programs. The golf classic is our signature fundraising event for the Hofstra Athletic Department and this year, in honor of Cindy, the proceeds will benefit the Women's Athletic Fund.
To pay tribute to Cindy, we are putting together an event journal, especially for former student-athletes, coaches and friends to thank her for her hard work and dedication throughout the years. The journal will be featured at the event as well as on GoHofstra.com. All those who participate will also receive their own copy.

In addition to honoring Cindy, this event will also feature our signature premium raffle. The three premium raffle prizes are as follows:

• NY JETS VIP package for the Jets vs. Bills game on January 2, 2011
