Comments from James C. Metzger -
“The athletes whom I admire the most are those who excel on the field and in the classroom.  The demands and challenges for Division I student-athletes at an outstanding institution such as Hofstra are great and to be able to balance academics and athletics and perform at a high level is an accomplishment which will serve them well today and in the future.
I’m proud to assist Hofstra Athletics in this most recent form under the leadership of Jeff Hathaway and feel as though it will continue to provide a strong foundation of support for Hofstra student-athletes now and as they become leaders in the chosen professions after graduation.
Lastly, I thank Hofstra University President Stuart Rabinowitz for his service and for helping to attract a second Presidential debate to campus this past fall.  The University once again received national and international attention and acclaim for its superb hosting of the October 16th debate.  The future of Hofstra is bright and I’m thrilled to play a role in further strengthening its academic and athletics brands.”
