Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra University Department of Athletics is proud to announce it has once again partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island to provide clothing bins outside the Mack Sports Complex during the remainder of the Hofstra Basketball seasons.
“We are thrilled to continue our wonderful partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island,” commented Hofstra University Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeffrey A. Hathaway. “We encourage everyone at Hofstra and in the surrounding areas to take part in this important clothing drive to assist those in need.”
The bins will be located out front of the Mack Sports Complex through the end of March and all members of the Hofstra community are encouraged to drop off clothes to donate.
“We are fortunate to have Hofstra’s annual support of our agency’s mission during the basketball season,” remarked Mark Cox, CDO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. “By placing clothing bins outside of the arena, we are able to generate awareness within the Hofstra community while directly impacting the children and families we serve.”
