Hempstead, NY - With less than three weeks before the start of the 2013 Hofstra Men's Lacrosse season, Inside Lacrosse took an inside look at the Pride in preparation for the 2013 opener on Saturday, February 16 against Sacred Heart (1:30 p.m.)

While several questions remain to be answered in the coming days, the Pride, who faced Holy Cross and Syracuse in scrimmages at the Carrier Dome on January 26, will have the upcoming week as well as scrimmages against Marquette (10 a.m.) and Penn (2 p.m.) at James M. Shuart Stadium on Saturday, February 9 to get those answers in preparation for game week.

Hofstra, which was ranked 19th by Lacrosse Magazine and 17th by Inside Lacrosse's Face-Off Yearbook in their respective 2013 preseason polls released in December, is ranked 20th in the USILA Coaches Poll and 17th in the Nike-Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.

The Pride return 27 players, including seven starters from their 2012 squad that posted a 6-8 record. Leading Hofstra is their top two scorers in senior midfielder Adrian Sorichetti, who tallied 24 goals and a team-high 14 assists in 12 games, and junior attackman Lance Yapor, who posted a team-high 25 goals and 10 assists in 14 games last season. Hofstra also returns all three starting defenders in graduate-students Mark Mullen and Michael Hamilton, and senior Cody Solaja.

Inside Lacrosse correspondent and Hofstra alumnus John Alfonso Iadevaia went inside the Pride's Margiotta Hall headquarters as the preseason got rolling. His preview can be found here.
