Newark, NJ - The Highlanders won all six singles matches and both completed doubles matches en route to a 7-0 win over Hofstra Saturday.

Hofstra falls to 1-4 on the season with the loss.

NJIT won singles matches one through five in straight sets. Markus Schultz defeated Ari Richman, 6-1, 6-2, at first singles and Holger Norregaard followed with a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles over Matthew Gemmell. Andres Alban won 6-4, 6-2 over Adrien Bailly at third singles. Petr Rousar downed Ryhaan Gill at fourth singles, 6-1, 6-1. Erik Artusson posted a 6-2, 6-0 win over Joseph Erichsen at fifth singles.

Hofstra's Pedro Gimenez won the first set over Fraser Croad at sixth singles, 6-3, but proceded to drop the next two sets, 6-4 and 10-7 as NJIT completed the sweep.

Hofstra will be back in action next Saturday when it hosts Drexel at Sportime in Lynbrook at 5 p.m.
