Hempstead, NY - Hofstra Baseball senior left fielder Kenny Jackson has been named the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week it was announced today.

Jackson, a Ronkonkoma, New York, native started all four games last week and bated .444 (8-18) with a double, two home runs, four runs scored and eight RBIs. He posted a .833 slugging percentage and a .474 on-base percentage.

His biggest hit of the week was a two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning that snapped an 8-8 tie and gave the Pride a 10-8 win over Northeastern.

Jackson also achieved a career milestone during the week as he recorded his 200th career hit in the Pride's game against Monmouth. Jackson is just the eighth Pride player to eclipse 200 career hits and his 206 hits now rank seventh all-time at Hofstra.

He is currently batting .267 with four home runs and 28 RBIs. He is tied for the team lead in both homers and RBIs.

Jackson and his Pride teammates return to action Wednesday evening at Wagner and then return to University Field for a weekend series against CAA-newcomer College of Charleston.
