The Hofstra University Pep Band is composed of a talented, enthusiastic group of musicians, who lend their superior performance skills to support most of the university's athletic teams.
Under the direction of Ferdinand Motley IV, a Hofstra graduate, B.A. and M.A. in Music Education, and a music educator for nearly 35 years; this group has flourished for the last 13 years.
The Pep Band has also enhanced a number of special events, such as festivals, ceremonies, and public outings.
All experienced instrumentalist (non music majors, as well as music majors) are encouraged to audition. Enthusiam and a love of music, and sports is a must!
