Farmingdale, NY - The Pride men's golf team shot a second round 292 (+12) and a final round 296 (+16) to finish 16th at The McLaughlin Sunday at the Bethpage Red Course. Hofstra had a three-round total of 891 (+51) and finished 61 strokes back in the 16-team field.

Jonathan Farber was Hofstra's top finisher, tying for 36th with a 218 (+8). Farber had a second round 71 (+1) and a third round 72 (+2). Paul Bruckner carded a second round 75 (+5) and a final round 74 (+4) to finish with a 223 (+13) and tied for 55th in the 83-player field.

David Mecca tied for 63rd with a 225 (+15) after a second round 72 (+2) and a final round 75 (+5). Jake Winn shot rounds of 77 (+7) and 75 (+5) to tie for 71st at 228 (+18). Luke Smith placed 79th with a 233 (+23). Smith had a second round 74 (+4) and a final round 80 (+10).

Auburn won the team title at 830 (-10) and also boasted the individual champion in Jake Mondy, who shot a 202 (-8).

Hofstra is next in action at the Hartford Hawk Invitational next Monday and Tuesday, September 24 and 25, in South Kent, Connecticut.
