Norman, OK - Matt Oberste hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift #14 Oklahoma over the Pride, 7-4, in the finale of a four-game series at Mitchell Park Sunday afternoon. The win completed a series sweep for the Sooners (4-0).

Hofstra (0-4) rallied from a 4-1 deficit with three runs in the eighth inning to tie the game. Dalton Rouleau got the rally started by drawing a one-out walk. Taylor Stuart followed with a double to put runners on second and third. Following the second out of the inning, Austin Nyman delivered a two-run double to make it a 4-3 ballgame. After Nyman stole third, Bryan Verbitsky reached on an infield single to knock in Nyman with the tying run.

Oklahoma and the Pride went down in order in their next turn's at-bat, before Oklahoma struck for the win in its final turn at the plate. Jack Mayfield had a one-out single and Max White followed with a walk to bring up Oberste, who had earlier delivered a sacrifice fly. This time the Sooner first baseman homered to right field to give Oklahoma the win.

In addition to Nyman and Verbitsky's run-scoring hits, Hofstra also got an RBI single from Matt Reistetter.

Cody Normand took the loss for Hofstra, allowing two hits and three runs in 1 1/3 innings. Pride starter Jared Rogers went five innings, allowing five hits and three runs (one earned).

Robert Tasin got the win in relief for Oklahoma, pitching a perfect ninth inning. Oklahoma starter Corey Copping allowed two hits over seven innings.

Hofstra returns to action this Friday night at Cal State Bakersfield with first pitch scheduled for 9 p.m. Eastern time.
