WBB: Hofstra Signs Marianne Kalin To National Letter Of Intent

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Women's Basketball Coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey today announced the signing of Marianne Kalin to a National Letter of Intent during the signing period that concluded May 18. Kalin is part of a four-person recruiting class for the Pride, joining early signees Sandra Karsten, Mikiyah Croskey and E'Lexus Davis.  

A 6-1 forward from Lappeenranta, Finland, Kalin attended Kimpisen Iukio High School and played for the Catz Lappeenranta club team since 2013. She has been part of Finnish League championship teams in each of the past three seasons and averaged 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.

"We are very excited to have Marianne Kalin join the Pride family," commented Kilburn-Steveskey. "She is a multi-dimensional forward and will be a quality addition to our team and the Hofstra community."

Hofstra advanced to the quarterfinals of the WNIT in 2015-16, posting a 25-9 record.
