Haley Dillon joins the Hofstra Department of Athletics as of March 2025 as the assistant director of athletics for business operations.
Prior to Hofstra, Dillon as the assistant director for freshman admissions at Long Island University since October 2023. Her primary responsibilities included optimizing recruitment strategies across Western Suffolk County, as well as fostering strong relationships with high schools across Long Island, orchestrating college fairs, and streamlining admissions workflows.
Dillon also has experience in the world of college athletics, working as an academic success coach at her alma mater Stony Brook from January 2022 through March 2023. She worked primarily with the football program to provide support for academics, as well as cultivating a working relationship between the Stony Brook athletic department and the Student Accessibility Support Center, and tracking NCAA eligibility requirements and compliance regulations for student-athletes’ progress towards graduation.
A Long Island native, Dillon graduated from Stony Brook in May 2021 with her bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary studies, and she received her master’s degree and advanced graduate certificate in higher education administration in May 2023 from Stony Brook. Dillon played for the Seawolves women’s lacrosse team from 2018 through 2023, appearing in 74 games and earning America East Defender of the Year and First Team All-America East honors in 2022 before being named Second Team All-CAA in 2023.
